Light up your wedding

Everything is planned and seems to be perfect, but something is still missing. You look around the ballroom where your wedding will be, and you search for what that “something” could be. How do you add that extra special touch to your wedding? The answer is more simple than you may think. It’s called uplighting.

(Above are pictures of the Grand Salon at The Delaney House [taken by Robert Charles Photography] completed with blue and purple uplighting. Anyone walking into this room is suddenly surprised and welcomed by a room filled with warmth and color.)

Uplighting is a simple and sometimes overlooked way to completely reinvent a ballroom. Suddenly standard walls are turned into a dream, completing your entire wedding. Options are limited only by colors and your liking, and guests will certainly feel that they’ve entered a wedding to be remembered. Uplighting can tie into your flowers, colors, and can even change throughout the evening. The colors you choose can provide for a more intimate feeling, or even make you feel as though you’re in anything but a ballroom. A detail not to be missed, uplighting can surely complete the wedding you thought couldn’t get any better.

(The Easthampton room at The Log Cabin is transformed into a sleek and intimate setting with this simple solution, while accompanied by flowers by Durocher Florist).

One company who knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to event lighting is CJC Event Lighting. They’ve done events at The Log Cabin and Delaney House (including the Wheeler/Plante wedding) and have certainly perfected their trade. Lighting fitting for each individual event, including adding texture and designs to walls, among tons of other things that will surely suit any couple that wants to add flair to their wedding.

Have you used uplighting at your event, or want to learn more about it? Ask a question, or submit a comment…I’d love to hear from you!
