On November 13th at the Log Cabin, an event to benefit the Holyoke Children’s Museum took place. Local dancing stars took to the dance floor at the second annual “Fancysteps”. In the style of “Dancing with the Stars” police, firefighters, and even newscasters danced it out for a good cause. 

In addition to the dancing and a silent auction, a fabulous dinner was served. As usual, guests entered to the Special Welcome, followed at their tables by the Log Cabin’s signature breadsticks, and a Waldorf salad. For dinner, a combo of Autumn Chicken with cranberries and walnuts and Mt. Tom Sirloin in a Merlot demi glaze, or the vegetarian selection of Eggplant Roulade with roasted red pepper cream sauce were served. Chefs choice of vegetable and potato accompanied the dinner. 

At the bar, aside from the cash bar, a signature drink (one of my favorite ideas!) was served, entitled the “Fancy Steps Blue Cosmo Martini” served in souvenir glasses. $5 of each martini sold went back to the cause.
