A recent 16th birthday party at the Log Cabin has really raised the bar. With a broadway theme, this birthday bash was unforgettable. So, let’s break it down. There were posters all over the room, centerpieces all based on playbills, pops of color, and an all around enchanting feel. 

For the social hour, some awesome hors d’eouvres were served. There was, of course, the special welcome complete with all of the fruits, cheeses, crackers, veggies and dip. This was accompanied by some passed hors d’eouvres of:

• fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce
• italian stuffed breads
• mini bruschetta 
• mini griddled lobster sandwiches
• petite quiche
• potato cups with bacon, cheese and sour cream
• seafood stuffed mushroom caps 
• vegetable pot stickers with ginger and soy

The awesome thing about all of these choices is that they are all extremely appropriate for all ages. 

Dinner was a buffet of four different stations!

Station #1 was a Caribbean Tiki Picnic featuring:

• Array of jerk pork and shrimp kebabs
• Tempura battered shrimp with Jamaican Rum dipping sauce
• Mango Salad
• Creole Rice and Chicken
• Sausage Jambalaya

Station #2 was a carving station with:

• Roast Turkey with cranberry sauce
• Honey baked virginia ham
• Tenderloin of Beef
• Madeira Wine Sauce
• Horseradish Sauce
• Various mustards and mayonnaise
• Assorted home baked breads

Station #3 was a salad station, tossed to order featuring:

• caesar, mesclun and spinach greens
• assorted accompaniments and dressings

Station #4 was a delicious pasta station:

• Tortellini, Bow Tie, Angel Hair and Fettucini
• Marinara, Alfredo, and Garlic & Oil
• Assorted Accompaniments

After 9pm, another special dessert station opened featuring a sundae bar with:

• Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
• Strawberry Yogurt
• Vanilla Ice Cream
• Chocolate Ice Cream
• Sprinkles, Fudge, Strawberry Sauce, Pineapple, Banana, Assorted Nuts, Whipped Cream, Cherries

The dessert station was also served with the clients awesome cake (seen below), and the entire event featured an open soda/juice bar and cash bar for adults.
