This Wedding was In Tents!

In the spirit of Fall weddings, why not talk about actual weddings? The recent wedding at the tent at the Delaney House was elegant and fall inspired…check out the details below!

The Menu

After guests were greeted with hors d’oeuvres and the Special Welcome (a flowing display of both domestic and imported cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, assorted vegetables and dip, a fancy snack mix and a variety of crackers), they were seated at their tables, finished with a bottle of red and white wine, and champagne for the toast.

Once they were given the Signature bread, guests had an option of two soups: french onion or lobster bisque (a great New England choice, which adds to the autumn feeling). The soups were followed by the salad course, where guests, again, had a choice. There was the Savannah Belle (exotic mixed greens, spiced nuts, grape tomatoes, grapes, crumbled bleu cheese all in a champagne-walnut vinaigrette) or a Spinach salad (with strawberries and goat cheese, topped with a raspberry vinaigrette), and both were prepared table side.

After the intermezzo of pink champagne sorbet, it was time for the entrees. The poultry option was the Tuscan Chicken (pan seared and served with a tomato basil risotto with a light garlic cream served on the side, and accompanied by julienne vegetables). As for seafood, guests enjoyed Grilled Salmon (with cucumber and dill sauce on the side, served with wild rice and fresh asparagus). The meat option was Petit Filet Beaujolais (grilled Filet Mignon medallions with sauteed spinach and mushrooms finished with a tarragon demi glaze, served with julienne vegetable medley, and mashed red bliss potatoes with roasted garlic). There was also a vegetarian option of grilled marinated zucchini, goat cheese, and roasted red peppers served on a bed of garlic cous cous with spinach. So much flavor in every dish!

As if there was room for it after those entree options, it was time for dessert of a chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce served with the client’s own cupcakes…check these out!

The client’s also had a cake for their cake cutting ceremony, which I love. Everyone loves to see that part of the wedding, and cutting into a cupcake just wouldn’t be the same! However, I LOVE the cupcake idea, everyone get’s their own individual cake!

All in all this tent wedding was beautiful, especially with the centerpieces by Durocher Florist. The height brings in the elegance, and the color choice and flower choice really encorporates the fall theme.
